1. Purpose and scope
We run websites for many customers on shared infrastructure, and our payments are handled by Polar, which has its own Acceptable Use Policy. This Acceptable Use Policy keeps the platform safe, lawful and available, and keeps us within the rules of our payment provider. It applies to your Account, to every Managed Website you subscribe to (including content posted by its users), and to Source Code you license from [COMPANY NAME] LLC. It is part of our Terms of Service, and capitalized terms have the meanings given there.
2. Prohibited content and businesses
You may not use our Services, including a Managed Website or an End Product, to publish, operate or promote:
2.1 Illegal and harmful content
- anything illegal where you operate, where your visitors are or where we operate, or anything that helps others break the law;
- child sexual abuse material or any sexualization of minors, which we remove and report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other authorities;
- sexually explicit or adult content and services, non-consensual intimate imagery, and deepfakes or other synthetic media of real people made without their consent;
- hate speech, harassment, threats, terrorist or violent extremist content, and content that promotes violence or self-harm;
- content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights of others.
2.2 Fraud and deception
- fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation and other deceptive schemes, including pyramid and multi-level schemes, “get rich quick” offers, and investment or crypto-yield schemes;
- fake reviews, testimonials or ratings, and services that manipulate them;
- counterfeit goods, and services that remove or hide trademarks or watermarks;
- services designed to get around other platforms’ rules, paywalls or technical protections.
2.3 Restricted businesses
- gambling, betting, casinos, lotteries, sweepstakes, loot boxes and mystery boxes;
- automated trading bots, trading signals and tools or services that promise trading profits, and cryptocurrency exchanges, token sales, NFTs and other financial services;
- IPTV, pirated streaming, and any site that distributes copyrighted material without permission;
- tools that download or copy content from third-party platforms in breach of their terms;
- game cheats, hacks, macros and tools that bypass software protection or licensing, and unauthorized resale of software licenses;
- OSINT, doxxing, people-search, stalking or surveillance tools, resale of personal data, and collection of personal data without a lawful basis;
- job boards;
- malware, spyware and stalkerware, and IP or API cloaking services;
- weapons, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, and alcohol, tobacco, vaping or other age-restricted products;
- regulated goods or services (such as prescription medicines, or medical, legal or financial services that require a license) offered without the required licenses and authorizations.
This list reflects both the law and the rules of our payment provider, and it may change when those rules change. We will not knowingly host anything that Polar’s Acceptable Use Policy prohibits. If you are unsure whether your use is allowed, ask us at support@[DOMAIN] before you buy.
3. Security and network abuse
- Distributing malware, running botnets or command-and-control servers, or hosting exploit or phishing kits.
- Attacking, scanning or probing any system without authorization, including denial-of-service attacks, brute-force and credential-stuffing attacks.
- Intercepting traffic, spoofing addresses or forging headers or sender information.
- Running open mail relays, open proxies, VPN services or Tor exit nodes.
- Trying to access other customers’ sites or data, our infrastructure or our control systems, or trying to break out of the isolation we provide.
- Circumventing resource limits, rate limits, security controls or license checks.
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in our Services, report it privately to support@[DOMAIN] and do not access other people’s data or disrupt the Services while doing so.
4. Resource abuse
- Cryptocurrency mining, or any workload that is not needed to run your website.
- Using a Managed Website as general file storage, a backup target, a download mirror or a content delivery network for material that is not part of the site.
- Generating load that degrades the service for other customers.
- Creating multiple Accounts to evade limits, suspensions or bans.
- Reselling or sharing access to your Managed Website’s hosting environment.
Plan limits and fair use are described in the Managed Services Terms.
5. Email and messaging
If your site sends email or other messages, you must comply with the laws that apply to them, such as the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act and Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the e-privacy and anti-spam laws of your recipients’ countries. In particular, do not send unsolicited bulk messages, do not use purchased or harvested lists, honor unsubscribe requests promptly, and do not hide or falsify the sender.
6. Source Code
- Do not resell, sublicense, publish or redistribute our Source Code, or share your License Key or download links.
- Do not remove license, copyright or identifying notices from the Source Code.
- Do not circumvent or tamper with license checks.
The full rules are in the Source Code License Agreement.
7. Content posted by your users
If your site lets its users post content, you are responsible for that content under this policy. Publish terms for your users, moderate their content, act promptly on complaints, and remove content that breaks the law or this policy. We may act on user content directly if you do not.
8. Reporting abuse
- Report a site or behavior that breaks this policy to abuse@[DOMAIN], with the address (URL) of the site, a description of the problem and any evidence (such as screenshots or email headers).
- Send copyright complaints as described in our DMCA and Copyright Policy.
- Never send us child sexual abuse material. Report it to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org and send us only the address of the page.
- Law enforcement and legal requests should be sent to legal@[DOMAIN].
We review every report and act where we can, but we may not be able to tell you the outcome.
9. Investigation and enforcement
9.1 Investigation
We may investigate suspected violations, including by reviewing the affected site, its content and its configuration, and we may ask you for information.
9.2 Enforcement steps
Depending on how serious the violation is, we may:
- tell you about the problem and ask you to fix it by a reasonable deadline;
- disable or remove the content, feature or domain that causes it;
- suspend the Managed Website, your access to downloads, or your Account;
- terminate the Subscription, the License or your Account; and
- report illegal activity to the authorities and cooperate with them, as the law requires or allows.
9.3 Immediate action
We may act immediately and without notice in serious or urgent cases, such as illegal content, malware, phishing, active attacks, a risk of harm to people, a legal order, or a risk to the platform, our other customers or our relationship with our payment provider. In other cases we will try to tell you first and give you a reasonable chance to fix the problem.
9.4 Consequences
A site suspended for a violation is not brought back online automatically when you pay; we restore it only once the problem is resolved. Except where the law requires otherwise, you are not entitled to a refund for time lost because of a suspension or termination for a violation. Deletion of a terminated site follows the Terms of Service, but we may remove illegal content at once and preserve information when the law requires it.
9.5 Disagreeing with a decision
If you believe we made a mistake, reply to our notice or write to abuse@[DOMAIN]. We will review your request in good faith. This does not limit the dispute resolution process in the Terms of Service.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services, the law or our payment provider’s rules change, as described in the Terms of Service. The current version is always on this page.
